A native flower to the edges of the Nile. The Blue Lotus has symbolized spiritual enlightenment for thousands of years. One of its most popular uses was that of an aphrodisiac. The petals can be submerged in wine for a few hours, to create an exotic tasting drink. The flowers can also be placed in hot water to make a tea.
